GANANA at EuroHPC User Days 2026
From 22 to 24 September 2026, the EuroHPC User Days 2026 will take place in Dublin, Ireland, bringing together the European HPC community to explore the opportunities offered by EuroHPC resources and share experiences, best practices, and achievements from HPC, AI, and Quantum Computing projects.
GANANA will take part in the event, with several project members, including European Project Coordinator Rossen Apostolov, attending the three-day event. GANANA will also be featured through a project poster, presenting its objectives, activities, and the progress of the EU–India collaboration in High-Performance Computing.
The EuroHPC User Days will provide an opportunity to connect with the wider European HPC community, exchange experiences, and showcase how international collaboration can contribute to advancing scientific research through HPC.

In February 2026, the GANANA Mobility Program brought European researchers to Pune, India, for a week of hands-on collaboration, knowledge exchange and scientific discovery. Working alongside their C-DAC counterparts, researchers explored new approaches to HPC applications, shared expertise and addressed technical challenges together. Beyond the science, the exchange also created opportunities to discover new research connections, experience local culture and build the personal relationships that make long-term EU–India collaboration possible.
Join the second webinar of the GANANA Webinar Series and discover the Life Sciences pillar, one of the project’s three main domains. Hear from our speakers about the progress achieved so far, the challenges ahead, and the opportunities for EU–India collaboration in this crucial field.
Join the first webinar of the GANANA Webinar Series and discover the project's journey so far. Rossen Apostolov and Manoj Khare, the European and Indian Project Coordinators, will present GANANA, highlight its major achievements during the first year, and discuss the future of EU–India collaboration in High-Performance Computing.
From 3 to 8 May 2026, Vienna once again became the world capital of geosciences during the EGU General Assembly 2026, Europe’s largest geoscience conference organised by the European Geosciences Union. During the event, several partners from the GeoHazard pillar of the GANANA project presented the latest advances of the project within a dedicated session organised by GANANA collaborators, focusing on the role of High-Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence in natural hazard resilience and forecasting.
GANANA participated at SCI 2025, a major international event in India focused on high-performance computing, AI, and emerging technologies. Project Director Rossen Apostolov delivered a keynote on “Supercomputing Without Borders: HPC, AI Factories, and Global Digital Partnership,” highlighting EU–India collaboration, the convergence of HPC and AI, and opportunities for shared software development and expertise exchange.
The GANANA project participated in the International Symposium on Grids and Clouds 2026 in Taipei, hosting a workshop and a hands-on computer tutorial focused on HADDOCK3, the advanced software for molecular modelling, recently released on the Indian Integrated Computing Environment (ICE-CLOUD) infrastructure.
Supercomputing Asia/ HPCAsia 2026 brought together leading experts, policymakers, and infrastructure providers from across the Asia-Pacific and beyond to discuss the future of high-performance computing and artificial intelligence. As one of the region’s key annual gatherings
for HPC and AI, the conference serves as a platform for strategic dialogue between academia, industry, and governments. Within this framework, GANANA project organized a dedicated workshop "Bridging continents: multilateral cooperation between EU, Japan, India, Singapore, Korea and Australia" jointly with INPACE, the Indo-Pacific European Hub for digital Partnerships.
The second High-Level Symposium on EU–India Collaboration in High Performance Computing will take place in Pune, India, on 25–26 February 2026.
The GANANA project will take part in SCA/HPCAsia 2026, taking place at the Osaka International Convention Center in Osaka, Japan, from 26 to 29 January 2026. The project will feature two workshops during the conference: one will focus on EU–India scientific collaboration in High Performance Computing, showcasing the progress and impact of the GANANA project, while the other will highlight cross-regional cooperation in HPC and AI.
The GANANA project officially kicked off in Stockholm with a two-day symposium held on May 6–7. The event brought together research partners from Europe and India, alongside representatives from the European Commission, the Government of India, and the Swedish Research Council (VR), marking the beginning of a promising scientific alliance.
